An evening departure from Heathrow for your overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2 (Sun)
Johannesburg
You will be met o­n arrival at Johannesburg Airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure. Perhaps visit the extraordinary Apartheid Museum in the afternoon.

Day 3 (Mon)
Johannesburg - Mpumalanga
Depart early today o­n your luxury escorted tour of South African highlights. The province of Mpumalanga offers magnificent wildlife, scenery, adventure, and a kaleidoscope of cultures. Highlights today will be Blyde River Canyon, third largest in the world, and magnificent views from God’s Window. Breakfast included.

Day 4 (Tues)
Mpumalanga - Kruger National Park (* Or Private Game Reserve Option)
Take an early morning game drive in Kruger National Park with a pre-packed breakfast. Search for the "Big Five", enjoy the prolific birdlife and game. The afternoon is at leisure in your hotel while optional (own account) late afternoon or night game drives are available in open vehicles. Breakfast Included

Day 5 (Wed)
Mpumalanga (* Or Private Game Reserve Option)
A further included game drive in the Kruger Park following early morning tea or coffee. Pre-packed breakfast is taken in the Park. The afternoon is at leisure while optional (own account) late afternoon or night game drives are again available. Breakfast Included

Day 6 (Thurs)
Mpumalanga - Swaziland
Leave for the Kingdom of Swaziland today following early breakfast. Passports will be required at border posts. Visit local Swazi glass and candle making industries. After early hotel check-in the afternoon is at leisure in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley. Breakfast Included

Day 7 (Fri)
Swaziland - Zululand
Continue after breakfast, re-enter South Africa. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. Travel to the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region. Breakfast Included

Day 8 (Sat)
Zululand to Durban - Port Elizabeth

After breakfast, travel to a traditional Zulu village for an ethnic lunch and show displaying local culture. Continue to Durban and transfer to the airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. Transfer to your hotel where the remainder of your day is at leisure to explore the “friendly city” at the eastern end of the Garden Route. Breakfast included.

Days 9/10 (Sun-Mon)
Port Elizabeth

At leisure today in Port Elizabeth a popular seaside resort o­n Nelson Mandela Bay with superb beaches, the warm water of the Indian Ocean and noted for its sunshine. Optional full day tours (own account) are available to two nearby wildlife parks, Addo Elephant Park, home to a huge elephant population, buffalo, black rhino and many other animals, or Shamwari, a “Big Five” Private Game Reserve. Breakfast included.

Day 11 (Tues)
Port Elizabeth to Knysna

Begin your westward trip along the famous Garden Route, a strip of stunning scenery hemmed in between mountains and the Indian Ocean. The route stretches between the Slang River near Heidelberg in the west and Storms River near Port Elizabeth in the east. Start at Paul Saur Bridge, 130 metres above Storms River Gorge. Visit a forest of giant 800 year old Outeniqua Yellowwood trees in Tsitsikamma National Park. Continue via Bloukrans Bridge – site of the world’s highest bungee jump - to Plettenberg Bay and Nature’s Valley. Arrive late afternoon in Knysna. Breakfast included.

Day 12 (Wed)
Knysna

Knysna has a superb location o­n a lagoon with high cliffs flanking the entrance from the sea. Today a cruise across the lagoon to Featherbed Nature Reserve is included. Ride to the top of Western Head and stroll down through the milkwood trees with awesome views of the lagoon, the Heads and the Indian Ocean. Southern Right, Humpback or Brydes whales may be seen offshore from June to November. Lunch is included in your tour. Breakfast & Lunch Included


Day 13 (Thurs)
Knysna - Oudtshoorn

After breakfast visit the vast limestone Cango Caves and take a guided Ostrich Farm tour before continuing to Oudtshoorn, Breakfast and dinner included

Day 14 (Fri)
Oudtshoorn – Cape Town.

Travel Route 62 via the "Klein Karoo" and Montague to Cape Town late afternoon where your escorted Garden Route tour ends, leaving you free to explore Cape Town independently. Breakfast included

Cape Town
